Bill has an excellent balance of technical, commercial and academic experience. On graduation from Canterbury University he worked for one of the giants in the chemicals industry, ICI, in New Zealand and overseas. His work for ICI covered development and maintenance of products, factory management, technical management and feasibility studies of new business opportunities. On completion of University business studies in 1988 he spent some time lecturing in Business Management including Operations Management and Marketing. Since 1994 he has focussed on on his real passion - assisting innovative technical NZ businesses to success. He has achieved this through the development of Match 2 Technical, a soundly based business that assists technology based organisations in locating staff for the electronics, engineering, science and manufacturing sectors.

                                              

Damon Collin MSc, Dip Mgmt

Damon has had considerable experience in a variety of industries, including the meat industry and the manufacturing of household, personal and sophisticated hardware products.  He has focussed on production management - he managed a two-shift operation at Interlock Industries - and personnel management, where he focussed on recruitment and training, including job instruction, quality circle implementation and job relations programs.  He returned to academia in 1991 as a lecturer in Business Studies, specialising in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations. Damon is a graduate of the National School of Training for Trainers and in implementing job personality testing procedures to predict job performance criteria. Like Bill, since 1994 he has focussed on the development of Match 2 and the recruitment of staff for the plastics, professional engineering and manufacturing sectors.

   

Rob Law

"Rob Law" would be one of New Zealand's more recognised industry names and could be termed a household name in the technical recruitment field.    
Originally from England, Rob immigrated to New Zealand in 1974 and for a period worked as a Contract Mechanical Draughtsman.  In the mid 70's contract draughting had not really been established in New Zealand and Rob took the opportunity to pioneer contracting in the Wellington area and later more nationally.  
Rob's persistence with contracting eventually paid off and in 1985 Rob launched his own company under the Rob Law name.  Early on the company focussed on contract drafting, but soon broadened to accommodate technical people at all levels, across all disciplines, both contract and permanent. Although Rob has managed and owned a number of recruitment companies since 1976, dealing with both permanent and contract, his main interest has stayed with contracting, and this is where he made his name. 


Rob sold his company in 2008, and having taken a break, in 2011 Rob returned to the market joining Match2 as our Contracting Division Manager.  This is a new division for the company and Rob is focussing on developing an effective professional service to our clients while in turn providing great opportunities to participating contractors.
