Senior Asset Manager - Roading
Reference No: DC2855
Your next manager needs a second-in-command to help him to implement the Asset Management Plan. He’s looking for a strategic level thinker who can oversee the gathering of critical information, refine the Asset Management Plan and calculate the financial resources required to make the Plan operational. You will need to be a very good writer of clear, succinct English
You will help the Asset Manager to select areas where improvement must be made in the business’s operation and drive an improvement strategy throughout the organisation, while recognizing that the strategy needs to be varied to suit the situations that exist in different parts of the business
You are most likely to have a background that includes Road Maintenance, probably from a Local Authority or consulting angle, and/or Network Management. You’ll need to have about ten years post-graduate experience to be credible in the eyes of those who have to make your Plan operate. Ideally you will already have been responsible for running a Roading Network, and will therefore have experience of its long-term maintenance, various pavement performance management systems and the Roading Network’s asset value.
You will be adept at interacting professionally with a range of stakeholders, from positive interaction with the general public through to the commercial management of the contractors and consultants who physically ensure the roads’ upkeep
You MUST have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
